The Rock Sabotage Credit Scene Shazam 2

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reported to have “sabotaged” the credits scene in Shazam 2. The sequel to Shazam! namely Shazam! Fury of the Gods can be considered quite successful and successful. However, indeed the amount of income at the time of the premiere of the film was beyond everyone's expectations. What's interesting is that before it was released, this film was covered in various controversies, one of which was related to The Rock.

As geeks know, Dwayne Johnson tried to make big changes in the DCEU last year. He has big plans to build a universe that intersects with the Black Adam franchise. Unfortunately, the facts that occurred were not in accordance with what he expected. The film actually received negative reviews and even the amount of income itself was not as expected. Deadline itself had reported that Dwayne was trying to explain the real situation.

He even promised Hawkman fans a solo film that would be his spinoff film. However, the plan ultimately did not materialize after DC Studios decided to no longer work with Dwayne Johnson. Apparently, this has an effect on the Shazam franchise! where in The Wrap's report it was stated that Dwayne sabotaged the credit scene in the film Fury of the Gods.

The director, David F. Sandberg, originally had plans to present Justice Society in the mid-credits scene. However, the plan was ultimately canceled after Dwayne Johnson rejected the idea. In his report, it was stated that Dwayne holds the veto power (in full control) over the appearance of Hawkman and also the entire Justice Society to appear in a film.

“Dwayne tries to show himself to be much bigger and more powerful than in the movies. He was one of the few people who always thought they were the most important person in a situation. Instead of making a film, he wanted to widen himself by showing more of his figure.

By isolating franchises that spawned his characters from others, and refusing to work with other characters, Dwayne Johnson has systematically destroyed two franchises at once, and destroyed DC in the process."

The Wrap also explained in its report, that apart from banning the film from presenting Justice Society, Dwayne's figure refused to appear the character of Black Adam in the film. The news about Dwayne being "in power" over the Justice Society character was confirmed directly by the film's main star, Zachary Levi. Through his personal Instagram account, he uploaded a picture of the news above. Levi himself later commented "The truth must be told."

So far, The Rock himself has not commented much on the sabotage of the film Shazam! the. It is also unknown what made Dwayne so against all the things he has presented to appear in the Shazam franchise. Circulating assumptions say that Dwayne might not want to share his popularity with other actors or characters. Other assumptions say maybe the two actors don't really get along. Will this also reduce or destroy Dwayne's career in the Hollywood industry? We still have to wait.
