6 Villains Appearing in Phase 5 of the MCU

Currently, we have entered phase 5 of the MCU, which started with the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the film, we are presented with two villains that make Ant-Man difficult, namely Kang the Conqueror and MODOK. They are the opening villains featured in phase 5, before we are finally introduced to other villains. So who are the other villains that will appear in phase 5 of the MCU? Check out the following Geeks!

Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross

In the MCU, Ross first appeared in the film The Incredible Hulk which was released in 2008. At that time, his character was played by William Hurt. His character later reappears in Captain America: Civil War, where it is revealed that Ross is the United States Secretary of Defense. Ross also appears in Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow. But after William Hurt died in 2022, his role was replaced by another actor, namely Harrison Ford. And interestingly, Ross' character will return in the film Captain America: New World Order. Most likely in the film, Ross really shows his evil side that he has been hiding all this time, just like in the comics.

The Leaders

Apart from featuring Thunderbolt Ross, Captain America: New World Order also features another classic Marvel villain, namely The Leader aka Samuel Sterns. His character is played by Tim Blake Nelson, who first appeared in the film The Incredible Hulk. At the end of the film, Samuel Sterns is exposed to the Hulk's radioactive blood, turning him into The Leader. In the comics, The Leader has extraordinary intelligence. Even though it sounds harmless, but with his intelligence, The Leader is able to make Hulk paralyzed. He is able to analyze events that will occur in the future. Therefore The Leader can be one step ahead of his enemy.

High Evolutionaries

Soon, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will feature the debut of High Evolutionary, played by actor Chukwudi Iwuji. For geeks who don't know, High Evolutionary is a villain who often does experiments. Even in the comics, he frequently transforms animals into humanoid creatures. He is the one who is responsible for the changes experienced by Rocket Raccoon. And interestingly, the High Evolutionary will make Adam Warlock his subordinate, which proves how dangerous the High Evolutionary will be. Of course, the Guardians of the Galaxy must try to stop this MCU villain before he does something even more terrible.

Adam Warlocks

Adam Warlock is a character created from a laboratory. He was designed to be a perfect human, and he was originally known as "Him". But after becoming acquainted with the High Evolutionary, he was given new life and purpose. "Him" was given a Soul Stone until finally his name was changed to Adam Warlock. Actually Adam Warlock is not entirely evil, because he has also been shown as a hero. But indeed he appears more often as a villain. In the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy 3 film, it looks like Adam Warlock is set to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy, and actor Will Poulter plays the character.

Gravic

This year, we will have the Secret Invasion series. The series is adapted from a comic with the same title which tells about Skrulls disguised as heroes on Earth. And when that happened, the Skrulls started pitting the superheroes against each other so they fought each other. In the MCU, the Secret Invasion series will be much like a spy movie. The series itself will introduce a villain named Gravik, a Skrull rebellion leader played by actor Kingsley Ben-Adir. Very little information can be extracted about Gravik, considering he is a new character that was deliberately created for this series.

The Hoods

Series Ironheart will feature a character named The Hood, a villain who has an interesting history in the comics. Real name Parker Robis, he was raised by a father who worked for Wilson Fisk alias Kingpin. Indeed, for a long time, Parker has aspired to become a villain. Finally, The Hood's wish came true after he succeeded in killing the devil and taking his cloak. It was after that he gained magic power. Perhaps the presence of The Hood in the Ironheart series is very strange. Because Ironheart has science-based powers, while The Hood doesn't. Let's just wait for the appearance of Geeks later.

Those are the geeks of several confirmed villains appearing in phase 5 of the MCU.
